Three generations of 'Giving'!
The name Van Bavel has been synonymous with business gifts for three generations. The grandfather of Michel and Jacques Van Bavel established Bavelco in 1953. The company, which for years worked out of a beautiful Art Nouveau building on the Cogels-Osylei in Antwerp, became the Belgian market leader and one of the biggest European representatives of gifts and promotional items. As Bavelco had outgrown them, the brothers sold the company to a large international group. In 2003, they started Van Bavel Business Gifts. The new company was established in Mortsel, in a renovated office building with a showroom.
"3 generations of born entrepreneurs and social, good natured people loving the 'Good' life. They Enjoy Giving so much, they made a profession out of it!"
Thanks to its dynamic approach, user-friendliness and market know-how, Van Bavel Business Gifts is now almost as big a name as Bavelco. Clients include such well-known companies as Bacardi-Martini, Leaf Belgium and Picanol. Van Bavel provides creative ideas, developed in regular brainstorming sessions between the sales and sourcing teams. The Van Bavel brothers’ company employs 25 people and brings in an annual turnover of over EUR 7 million. A large part of that is realized in China, where the purchasing department, including native Chinese staff, regularly visits factories and sites for Quality Control and attends fairs in order to find new suppliers, connect with them and discover innovative product ideas.
